I just got back from my writers retreat and the weekend award ceremony. What a fantastic week.

First, working with my friend brings new energy to my work. We both got a lot accomplished and feel confident our WIP will be polished and ready for submission within two months! Huge progress. Thanks Lynn.

Second, Saturday night at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando Florida, I sat and proudly watched my husband and his design firm partner accept Retail Store of the Year for the boutique category. (Softlines under 5,000 sq ft.) Their design – the Via Spiga store in Soho. One of the stores they beat is Christian Lacroix in NY City. Wow. Impressive.

I’m sure I beamed as they walked up to the podium to accept their award. Hey, I’m my hubby’s biggest fan. Sue me. Not to mention, he was the best looking man in the room! The entire evening was grand from the reception to the final award, the atmoshpere spoke of elegance and extreme creative talent. I’m glad I got to attend to share this wonderful moment.
