I just got back from the OWFI conference in Oklahoma City. This was the first conference I attended as a Published Author! Woohoo! I sold a few copies of my book, handed out many business cards and bookmarks, attended a dozen interesting workshops and got my muse fired-up again. I sat down and thought through all of my story ideas and drew up a plan to get these books written and in the hands of readers over the next few years. Passion’s Race – which is available in e-book and paperback – will now be book 1 out of 4. Think of this as the ‘Passion’s’ series. I’m currently working on Mike Dawson’s story, and have Kate Brook’s story and Passion’s Promise (book 4) started.
Mystical Connections, will be book 1 of 3, and we’ll call this the ‘Mystical’ series. (I’d like to have MC ready for readers by summer!) I want to revisit my first MS, The Chase is Over, book 1 of another 3 book series. It needs editing and updating, but I’m thinking I can have that done by the beginning of next year. And the plotline for Heart’s Reunion, book 1 of the ‘Heart’ series – a 3 book series I’ve been brewing in my head – pushed its way to the forefront, showing me it’s almost ready to be written.
Sisters Of Spirit, the anthology written with my friends, is already available, and we’re in the discussion stages to write several more anthologies together! I know it sounds like an aggressive schedule, but I’m excited about it. My goals have now been set for the rest of 2013 through 2016. Lots of work to do, many characters to bring to life, but my heart beats with anticipation that the next few years are going to be awesome.
This week, I’ll be updating my website and sending out a newsletter, so keep your eyes peeled. More news heading your way.
By the way, if you’ve read Passion’s Race and/or Sisters Of Spirit, please go to your favorite e-retailer and write a short review. Feedback from our readers will help make the next book something you’ll want to read. Wishing you a marvelous month of May …
Until next time, Hugs – Christine

The last two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster. We welcomed our first grandbaby twelve days ago! Three days later we lost my twenty-four year old niece. The morning after I flew back from the funeral, I woke up with a terrible cold/flu – thank goodness it only lasted a few days, but talk about feeling crappy! Then Spring dumps over ten inches of snow on us. It sure is beautiful, but it makes me want to hunker in, curled up in front of the fire.
But – I have a newsletter to finish, a contest to judge, and I desperately need to get back to my creative space to work on Mike Dawson’s story!
So, I drag myself out of bed yesterday morning, and the first thing I do is check email, then pull up the amazon site to check the rankings of Passion’s Race and Sisters Of Spirit – and what do I see? Passion’s Race is now available in PAPERBACK!!! Can you imagine the thrill as I did the Snoopy dance around my office?
Such mixed emotions, the highs and lows of life coming together in an odd blend of events! I tell myself to take a deep breath, to be thankful for the wonders of life, to cherish the memories of Jamie, and to celebrate one more step on my publication journey!
Breathe with me, won’t you? Until next time, hugs – Christine

January 10, 2013, another magical day. Sisters of Spirit, written with NYT Best-selling author Annette Blair, me, and introducing Lynn Jenssen and Jeanine Duval Spikes is now availalbe on Amazon.com, Bookstrands.com, and of course, our publishers website, lachesispublishing.com!
Four friends – Universally connected – A hidden cove – their path to Destiny!
Writing this with three of my good friends was a blast. We sat at the table together, the creative energy swirling. Each story is unique, but they all tie together through the sisters. We bounced thoughts off each other, laughed and cried through several shared scenes, and then the silence would descend and we would work quietly for hours.
If you’re looking for four great reads under one cover, Sisters of Spirit is a must read!
Until next time. Enjoy!

We all remember exactly where we were 11 years ago, and the fear we felt as we watched the horror unfold. John and I lived in Guam then, and had just gone to bed (we were 15 hours ahead of EST). The phone rang, our son calling to tell us to turn on CNN, babbling about a plane striking the World Trade Center. We turned on the TV and sat up all night, watching the insanity of the attacks.
We had friends in NY. Were they anywhere near the Trade Centers? Were they traveling? Were they safe? We made phone calls trying to locate them, but couldn’t get through. We were numb with disbelief! When the first tower fell, our shock turned to heartbreak, the tears erupting. (I think I cried for weeks.) How could this happen? Who would do this?
All of those innocent lives lost for an act of hate. It is so senseless, for what does anyone gain? I wish we could all just get along. Peace and happiness are so much richer than death and destruction.
My heart still goes out to the families who lost loved ones that day. From the World Trade Centers to the Pentagon to the travelers on those planes – in memory! May God Bless you for you did not deserve to die.

Hi friends, it’s time once again for a quick update. I’m seriously feeling like an author!
Edits for Passion’s Race were turned in to my editor at the end of May, and I’m currently working on the edits for Identity, my novella for the anthology; Sisters of Spirit. Still no solid release date for either book, yet, but I have a strong feeling the anthology will debut this year, with Passion’s Race following within 3 months of that!
And ready for this – my editor wants me to write Mike’s story – He is Nick’s best friend. (Nick is the hero in Passion’s Race.) She said Mike is such a ladies man, he needs to fall hard! Ideas are already swirling … fun ways to torture the surfer-dude!
I’m heading to a writers retreat next week. Can’t wait to catch up with my friends and finish my novella edits before my July 3rd deadline. Then Passion’s Promise gets my full attention again. It’s going to be a busy, busy, summer, but that makes me very happy.
Wishing you a spectacular summer.
Hugs – Christine

It’s May 1st, and I thought I’d share a few updates. I haven’t posted since December when I sold my first full length novel, ‘Passion’s Race’, because I’ve been hard at work.
I polished ‘Mystical Connections’, and sent it to my agent. My novella, ‘Identity’ for the Anthology, ‘Sisters of Spirit’ went to the editor prior to my deadline. ‘Passion’s Promise’ is mapped out, the skeleton gaining flesh, but I just put it on the back-burner to complete my edits on PR for my editor!!
I’m heading to the OWFI conference this weekend to learn everything I can about Social Media Marketing for authors, and to catch up with a good friend I met at the Reno National Conference in ’05.
Next week, while finishing my PR edits, I plan to update my website – so check back in a few weeks – I want to look into a different blog site, as an addition to this one. Then it’s back to ‘Passion’s Promise’!
Right now, it looks like ‘Sisters of Spirit’ will debue late this year, and within three months of the Anthology’s release, look for ‘Passion’s Race’ to hit the shelves. Both books will be available as e-book and in paperback.
Besides writing, ‘The Wild Hogs’ – a group of us – are hitting the road for our annual motorcycle ride. This year, it’s a week on the Blue Ridge Parkway!! Of course I’ll be gathering information for another new story! The well is never full, and now that I’m an author – not just a writer – I have to keep those fresh ideas morphing.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, hugs, Christine

No matter how you picture it, it never happens that way … On Saturday, December 10th, I was on an Island with the three other anthology authors. We were there to polish our stories so we could turn them in to the editor by our December 31st deadline.
Three of us went for a ride, to pick up dinner supplies and to find the perfect cottages for Jeanine’s characters. When we returned to the house, Annette was on the phone with our Publisher – she has several projects going with them.
We went into the dining room so we wouldn’t disturb her. But a few minutes later, I heard her call my name. I poked my head in the door as she says, “yes, she’s right here. Would you like to speak to her?”
She handed me the phone, and LeeAnn Lessard asked, “Have you spoken to your agent in the last 24 hours?”
Me: “No, she’s on vacation and I’ve been working on the anthology.” Thinking: I have to check my emails!
They loved Passion’s Race and want to publish it!!! Woohoo, peel me off the ceiling!! I sold my first full-length novel!!
She said the offer went through my agent, but since they knew the four authors were together, they wanted us to celebrate … pop that bottle and let’s do the happy dance!! I think I’ll be dancing for a long time!!
I’ll keep you posted on dates and all that, but for now, join me in the celebration!!
Hugs – Christine
