Mid-August update

August 13, 2012
It’s been a busy summer.

Sisters of Spirit is in the hands of the copy editor, and Passion’s Race is on the way to Galley form. It won’t be long before we have concrete release dates, so stay tuned! My platform is written, marketing ideas planned, and my focus has shifted to writing my newest story – Mike Dawson is a tough guy to work with, but we’re making progress. For now, I’m having fun plotting his adventure.

Some awesome news: in 2002, I took an online novel writing course with Writer’s Digest University. I stayed in touch with my professor and sent her a note about my contracts. She forwarded it to the Online Education Manager for the University and she asked if I’d like to be featured in the WDU alumni newsletter. Think I’d say no to that? Of course not, I’m in!

I just finished reading a few awesome books: The Next Always and The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts. Outstanding, but now I have to wait until November for book three?! Aya ya ya, it’s going to be a long wait. Also finished Cloaked in Malice by Annette Blair. It’s the fifth in the Cozy Mystery Series, and like the four before it, I couldn’t put it down. The story pulled me in and kept me turning the pages! No wonder it hit the NYT Bestseller List!!! (Congrats Annette, well deserved.)

What good books have you read recently?

Until next time – Hugs, Christine
