Power of positive thinking.

February 13, 2007

A few weeks ago, I watched a DVD called, The Secret. It was recommended by a fellow writer, and I must tell you it is quite powerful stuff. Incidentally, I just read a blurb about it last week in People magazine. Anyway, it’s about the laws of attraction. Wish and it will come.

I’ve always been a believer of positive thinking. As an endurance athlete, I know how the mind can help get you to the finish line even when physically you feel weak. Or how it can just as easily sabotage the effort with doubt.

Most of us realize early in life that negative people drain our energy; negative thoughts drain our creativity, so why not use our positive thoughts to journey through life.

Think about all of the innocent items or adventures you wanted as a child. What you were going to be. Looking back, how many have happened or come to you?

When I was six, I said I would teach. Though I didn’t teach in school, my twenty-plus year career involved the growth and development of executives in the retail field. When I was ten, I knew I’d write a novel. I’ve written two (still not published, but that too will come). When I was thirteen, I wanted to drive a red jeep. Today, I own a red Rubicon. As I think back, many of my wishes and dreams have come true.

I bet if you think back, you’ll find the same is true. So why not continue the trend? Let’s fill our thoughts with positive affirmations and goals. Whether that’s to become published, successful, or to have a happy and loving family, let’s project out thoughts to the Universe and be conscious of the future.

I wish you health, wealth, and happiness in all that you and your loved ones seek. Happy thinking, Christine.
