Let the tug begin …

June 2, 2006

I woke up this morning with two sets of characters playing tug-of-war in my mind. I went for a run and decided to ignore both groups. Today, I’m going to revise (yet again) The Chase is Over, my first ms. I’ve decided to get it ready to pitch at the RWA National Conference in July.

I’ve gotten rejections on it, but several agents included very specific comments about pacing or POV (writers, you know what I’m talking about). My mentor (a successful published author) was kind enough to give direct feedback, which I’m eternally grateful for, and I’m now tackling the process of tightening, deleting, editing the story to make it more compelling. (Thanks T!)

Alexandra and Tyler are in for some drastic changes (but in a good way…). So, I best be going, they’re waiting for me.
