Blooms in the air

Snow last week and flowers blooming this week. I’m stepping out for a long walk because winter has decided to show his face again tomorrow. It’s a sunny in the mid-seventies day, but it’s not going to last. Temperatures drop over night. Back into the thirties, ugh. I’m so ready for the warm weather to stay.

So are the trees and bushes. Our pear trees are sporting crisp white buds and the pink magnolia next door exploded with flowers over the weekend. Bright yellow bushes flared to life with the warm moist air, and I don’t think they want to brace themselves again the harsher winds expected tomorrow and through the weekend.

Can I hope that this is the last slap of winter? That once this blows through, we’ll be able to enjoy running and riding more often. Sun and warmth are my energy sources, so yes, I can hope, really hope!

I admit spring and summer are my favorite times of the year. Fall is pretty cool, too. I guess the truth is – it’s winter I could do without. What is your favorite season? What makes it your favorite?

Until next time. Hugs, Christine.
