Hi Everyone,

It’s been a while since my last post. I didn’t have any new news to share, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy. I’m plugging away on two new stories; the third in the Passion’s Series – which I now think of as “the athletic journey” series and the second in the Mystical Series – now tagged as “the spirit with a message” series.  Both sets of characters are scrambling around in my brain, begging for attention!

I’m now splitting my writing view between the ocean and the mountains. No more St. Louis. Maybe the view dictates which characters shout the loudest? Passion’s Promise is set in St. Augustine, FL (Ocean) and Mystical Moments is set in San Francisco, CA (West Coast; mountains). Hmm, that theory seems to hold true! At this moment, I writing looking out over the Atlantic Ocean, and PJ Madison and Spencer Hayes are in mid-action, training to do Ironman Florida (an early November race).

I also think my runs on the beach at low-tide inspire the feelings and emotions necessary for writing the athletic journey piece of the story. Concentrating on the feel of my muscles as they work to carry me across the sand helps bring life to PJ and Spencer! And breathing in the salty tag of the ocean refreshes my senses.

Having said that, maybe it’s time for me to hit the beach to drum up some more inspiration for tomorrow’s scenes.
