Happy Holidays!!!

I wanted to wish my family and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for so much, but mostly for my health and the health of my family. I’m thankful for the beach view and lake view I see while I write, the long walks on the beach when in Florida and the neighborhood runs at the lake.

I’m thankful that Tango is still with us! She’s been such a trooper dealing with her diabetes and pulmonary tumor. I’m thankful for the love she shares and the nightly snuggles she looks forward to…not sure who looks forward to them the most?!!

What are you thankful for this year?

We’re heading into December with a huge to do list. We’re putting up two trees this year and need to get that done next week. Shopping, planning the menu and activities for the kids’ visit, and of course wrapping everything to fit the themes of the trees. Can you tell Christmas is my favorite holiday?

I’ll post pictures when the trees are done. In the meantime, I wish you all a safe, happy, healthy and successful Holiday Season.
Hugs,
Christine

Featured in Upstate Lake Living – Fall issue

Link

I’m so excited to share that my husband and I were featured in the Fall issue of Upstate Lake Living! A magazine about “Life at its finest on Jocassee, Keowee, and Hartwell.” We decided Utah was too far from the kids, so we searched and bought a home on Lake Keowee in Upstate South Carolina.

It’s a ten page spread about our lives, interests, my writing, and why we chose to buy a home on the lake.

What an amazing experience to sit with the editor, Brett McLaughlin, to answer questions for his article. A few days later we welcomed a fun and fabulous photographer, Jerry Beard, to have our home captured in photos.

I won’t give too much away here, so check out pages 34 to 44 to read the article and see the pictures for yourself.

I hope you enjoy our story.
Until next time,
Hugs – Christine

Happy New Year!

Happy 2020. I’m walking into it with clear vision. I’m not making New Year Resolutions, but I am setting goals.
To spend more time with family and friends, creating wonderful memories of joy. To travel to destinations my hubby and I have never visited, stockpiling additional settings for future books. To getting another new book out, so my fans can enjoy one more mystical story. I’m committed to learning more about crafting, editing, and strengthening my writing to continue bringing emotion to the page. (See my NEWS page for an exciting course I’ll be hosting at our beach house in the Fall!)

I’m determined to learn more about promotion and sharing fellow authors’ books to help widen the audience for others. I’ll continue to host and attend writers’ retreats to keep the camaraderie brewing within the writing world. We always have such fun brainstorming, then working on our individual projects. There’s something magical about the energy in the room.

I plan to attend only a few conferences this year, the ones that celebrate authors and readers alike. What a fabulous way to network and meet new people, visit with old friends, and make new friends for life!

What are your plans this year? What adventures do you have planned so far? What goals do you hope to reach?
Can’t wait to hear how you plan to dive into 2020…So, please share.

Wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous year!
Until next time,
Hugs – Christine

Hawaii Beach Walk

I just returned from an awesome “mini-Guam” reunion in Hawaii. One week on Oahu and one week on the Big Island. Our group ranged from six to nine, so we rented homes on each island to enjoy the ocean views, have cook outs, and enjoy each others company. We caught up on the last sixteen years and are planning more reunions in the future!

Of course, I took my laptop and was able to spend a few days writing with the aqua-blue water crashing in front of me. I let my mind brew new scenes while we took in the sights, and I’m raring to get back to work full-time.

I’ve set a few deadlines for myself. Finish Margie Lawson’s awesome lecture packets by April 8th. Finish Passion’s Promise MS by June 1st. I’m attending OWFI in Oklahoma City on May 4th and though I will be networking and attending some workshops, a dear friend and I will spend most of our time working on our individual WIP.

Life is crazy, but life is good. I’ll keep you posted as we get closer to a release date.
Until then… Hugs!!!
