When: September 23-27, 2020. Where: My beach house in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. (It’s listed on margielawson.com as Jacksonville, Florida, because travelers will fly into JAX.)
Margie’s Immersion Master Class will help transform your manuscript into a page-turner. The class is limited to 7 or 8 people, small and intimate, but powerfully productive. There are prerequisites: Completing three on-line courses or lecture packets prior to the class dates.
1. Empowering Characters’ Emotions.

3. Writing Body Language and Dialogue Cues like a Psychologist.
You’ll be asked to bring a minimum of 150 pages of your manuscript (printed on one side, double-spaced, in a binder) so be prepared to work, work, work!!! I attended one in Denver over a year ago and applied what I learned in THE CHASE IS OVER, and I’m super excited to learn more the second time around!!

What an amazing opportunity for me to share the wonderful knowledge Margie brings to the writing world!!
Let’s start with a bit of history and how I managed to make my dream come true. Passion and determination drive me, which explains why I climbed the corporate ladder while still in college and ventured into the world of endurance races. Those qualities also pushed me to walk away from a twenty-plus year career to follow my dream of becoming a published author. It was a long road, but like the miles in an Ironman race, I tackled the submissions and rejections one step at a time.
I signed with my agent in December of 2010 and she sold my first manuscript within six months. I feel Blessed, not only am I working my dream job, I’m married to my best friend, training partner, soul mate. We raised a handsome, successful son, gained a beautiful daughter-in-law, and welcomed our gorgeous granddaughter into this world. Family and friends continue to be my biggest supporters, they are the reason I write with emotion and enthusiasm.
I write stories about “heart” and hope they inspire readers to step out of their comfort zones and strive to reach their own goals.

That’s all I have booked so far!!!
I just got back from the RWA (Romance Writers of America) National Conference. There was such an abundance of incredible information, it took me a whole day (yesterday) to comb through my notes and make action lists of things to do. Workshop after workshop after workshop opened my eyes to new marketing tools and updated industry news. There were several good ones on craft, too. The one I especially liked was on “motivation” – I walked away with some concrete ideas to deepen my characters’ motivation throughout the story. Now, I have to go in and tweak a few chapters!
The conference was in San Antonio, TX at the Marriott Rivercenter, so my free time (what little of it there was) was spent walking the River Walk, checking out the local shops, and enjoying dinner with friends and fellow writers. I touched base with old friends, made new ones, and networked with several industry professionals. It was an exhausting yet exhilarating five days!
Now, I must finish Passion’s Spirit and … I have to update my website, revamp my newsletter, learn how to use Hootsuite for more effective communication. I need to visit my local libraries and book stores to plan for the launch of Passion’s Spirit. On top of all that, I must find time to exercise to stay fit and preserve my sanity.
Please feel free to share your thoughts on what should appear in my NEW Newsletter. What should be deleted? Would you like to see what books are available from my author friends? Would you like to read an excerpt from Passion’s Spirit? What other information is important to you? Comment on this post or send me your thoughts at firstname.lastname@example.org.
With a lengthy TO DO list before me, I must sign off now. Until next time, hugs – Christine
